Nyakas Cellars Olivier

This Hungarian red fills the glass with a distinctive bright red purple color. The slightly muted nose has a spicy undertone, and the palate shows soft, rich fruit with a peppery edge. There’s good concentration and a bit of tannin lurking underneath the soft fruit. This will go well with aged cheeses and dried sausage. Impress your friends – use it as an alternative to shiraz!

Sokol Blosser Evolution #9

Every new bottling has its own subtle and fresh personality. The 9 grapes tie together perfectly, creating a smooth, layered white wine that can hold its own or stand up to just about any food pairing you dare to serve it with. It is extraordinarily food-friendly, from light salads to the hottest fusion-style cuisine. One of our most popular whites!

Fuzelo Vinho Verde

This “green” wine from Portugal fills the glass with a citrusy yellow color. It is fresh and young with aromas of lemon-lime, while the palate is clean and refreshing with a slight effervescence – the fruit is well present and the finish is dry but quite pleasant – a great alternative to Pinot Grigio! Made with Trajadura, Perderna, and Loureiro grapes. Excellent with oysters, scallops and mild cheeses.

Vinum Cellars PETS Petite Sirah

Petite Sirah is called “Pets” by veteran growers like Ken Wilson. So they dedicated this wine to his pet-Tanker. Dark colored, long legged and bold, this wine has the potential of becoming your best friend. A portion of the profits is donated to the winery’s local animal shelter! A deep black cherry, plum color with an intense blast of huckleberry and blueberry coulis, as well as pomegranate and cassis notes. The entry on the palate is crushed wild raspberry, cherry with its seeds and then back to blue fruit while framed with integrated sweet, supple French oak notes. Very rich – it goes well with grilled meats, hearty pasta dishes and full-flavored cheeses.

Gelsomina Lambrusco

This is a traditional Lambrusco, seldom found outside of Italy. With aromas and flavors of fresh grapes, raspberries and dried red fruit, it has a very lively, fizzy effervescence and semi-dry finishing notes which offer a refreshing lip–smacking quality. Serve it chilled with sausages and lentils, squash-filled tortellini with brown butter and sage, and charcuterie.

2006 Crimson

As its name implies, Crimson has a deep, dark red color. Crimson is produced from a blend of 75% Syrah and 25% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes from the Sonoma and Central Coast growing regions of California. Crimson is a very complex wine made in the Rhone style. This very rich wine has beautiful ripe plum and blackberry flavor, accented with hints of toasty French oak, and cassis.

Winemaker tasting notes: Deep dark crimson color, with lots of black fruit in the nose. Soft tannins round out rich flavors of licorice, blackberries and cinnamon.

Food suggestions: Beef, lamb, duck, turkey, and pasta.

Domaine Pelaquie Cotes-du-Rhone

The blend for this easy drinking classic wine is Syrah and Grenache. It is a deep red color with aromas of cooked small red fruits. The palate is fruity and long-lasting with fine but noticeable tannins and a very spicy finish. Try it with Coq–au–Vin and pork tenderloin. One of our favorites!

Rocca Bernarda Pinot Grigio

This medium-bodied Italian white is made of 100% Pinot Grigio grapes from the premier area for the varietal. From the fresh citrus, grapefruit and floral aromas and crisp apple, peach and lemon mousse flavors to the zestful mineral notes and lovely long finish, this wine consistently shows excellent body and character in a well-structured frame. A wonderful match with cold smoked chicken or pork, broiled seafood and shellfish, omelettes and creamy mild cheeses.

Vylyan Vineyards Zweigelt

This Hungarian red fills the glass with a distinctive bright red purple color. The slightly muted nose has a spicy undertone, and the palate shows soft, rich fruit with a peppery edge. There’s good concentration and a bit of tannin lurking underneath the soft fruit. This will go well with aged cheeses and dried sausage. Impress your friends – use it as an alternative to shiraz!

Thirsty Lizard White Shiraz

Our answer to White Zin. This White Shiraz is made by draining off the juice from the shiraz fruit skins not long after the grapes are crushed. This style is fresh and crisp – refreshing and fun without being cloyingly sweet. A great pre dinner sip. Time to break away from Beringer and Sutter Home – go crazy!

Crosby Cabernet Sauvignon

By far our most popular every day Cab. Ripe berry fruit makes it the perfect burger-pizza-pasta wine and the price will make it your new favorite.
